THE SETTING

A UNESCO village at the foot of the Tramuntana

Caimari sits in the foothills of the Serra de Tramuntana, the UNESCO-listed mountain range that runs the length of Mallorca's western coast. The village is small but lived-in: a few shops, four good restaurants, neighbours who notice when you walk past. The house faces south-west, with the garden opening onto fields and rising cliffs. Inca and its weekly market are five kilometres away; the airport, just half an hour by the new motorway.

THE HOUSE

Room to breathe, for family or friends

Six bedrooms across two floors, four and a half bathrooms (three of them en-suite), and the kind of generous living spaces that absorb a whole family or a group of friends without anyone tripping over each other. The garden is the heart of the house in summer. A curvaceous pool sits at its centre, fringed by olive trees said by locals to be the finest in Mallorca. Beyond, an orchard bears orange, lemon, lime, persimmon, pear, apple and fig. A new outdoor kitchen and barbecue area, with its own dining space and toilet, makes long lunches the natural shape of the day. Help yourself to whatever is in season.

We had a wonderful stay, a group of 10 cyclists end of March. I would like to particularly mention that the house is warm and well heated and in addition the chimney can be used. Also the kitchen is well equipped for larger groups and two dishwashers are available. The setting is very beautiful at the mountains and in the village with a supermarket just 1 min walk away.

We had an absolutely brilliant stay and loved everything about the villa. The house had everything we needed and we felt at home from day 1. The pictures make it look amazing but it's even better in real life. The location is spot on and we loved being in Caimari and having amenities on the doorstep.

Wow, what a fantastic villa. This is the best place we've stayed. They really had thought of everything. We particularly loved the various indoor and outdoor seating options, tasteful cycling themed decor, fully equipped and secure bike storage room and absolutely stunning garden. The photos do not do it justice.

Myself and my family stayed at Casa Cyclista in August and had a fantastic stay. There were 11 adults and a baby in our party and we all had loads of space. The living area is large, airy and well laid out with plenty of seating and a huge dining table. The kitchen was exceptional. The beautiful garden of the house is its star feature in our opinion.
